Oakfield and Brayton

We suppose that when Mr. Roscoe
Essington and Miss Fannie M. Rich,
of Lorah, went to Council Bluffs, on
last Friday, took out a marriage license
and were wed, they thought none of
their friends here would be the wiser.
They were never more mistaken in
their lives, as the news was heralded
by the Council Bluffs and Omaha
papers and we all (k)new about it that
same evening. The happy newly
wedded folks have returned ere this
and are snugly settled on the James
Essington farm, just above Brayton,
and are receiving the congratulations
of every man, woman and child in the
community.

Note: Parents of Fannie M. Rich were Lorenzo Dowe Rich and Barbara A. Bieler.
Parents of Roscoe Jasper Essington were Thomas James Essington and Mary Allen.
