Wedding Bells.

--------

Wednesday evening, at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. John I. Hensley,
Miss Mercy M. Hayes and Mr.
Orvill T. Myer were united as hus-
band and wife in the sacred bonds
of wedlock, Rev. W. W. Hartsough,
of the Exira Congregational chursh,
performing the impressive, sol-
emn and sacred ceremony that
unites through life the destinies of
each to each.

The invited relatives, friends and
guests assembled in the spacious
home at the appointed hour. Every-
thing bore evidence of harmony,
the soft lights blended harmonious-
ly with the beautiful floral decora-
tions and betokened a happy yet
eventful occasion.

Amid the soft strains of the wed-
ding march, as they floated out
upon the fragrant air, scented by
the budding roses, the young coup-
e, buoyant with hope and promise
and crowned with the eternal confi-
dence and blessing of love, march-
ed with firm, elastic step and stood
beneath the wedding archway, over
hung with wedding bells of flowers
where, in the presence of those
assembled, they made their public
vows that through life, for weal of
woe, sunshine or shadow, they
would ever strive to love, cherish
and protect each other.

Mr. Meyer comes from Iowa Falls
and while he is a stranger to many
of our people yet everyone knows
by his manly, frank and open con-
duct that the bride has chosen well
her life companion and defender.
He is a young man cool, collected
and candid, having a manly and
pleasing address and possess(e)ss
those strong traits of character that
are always indicative of our true
worth and stamp indelibly on our
features the higher, nobler and
truer motives that spring from high
purposes, noble desires and lofty
ambition.

Miss Hayes is a young lady of rare
traits and true refinement, impress-
ing everyone with her purity of
thought and purpose and her sweet-
ness of disposition. She is the
genial and happy possessor of those
elements of love, sympathy and
kindness that marks her pathway
through life bright, cheerful and
happy, strewing through life peace,
happiness and contentment by her
deeds and words and acts. She is
one of those girls of real worth that
words cannot express the goodness
that lies within her.

After the wedding ceremony and
the expressions of good will, best
wishes and fondest hopes for their
future, a sumptuous feast was par-
taken of with a relish that indicated
the fact that it was one of the rarest
and best that the skill of the culti-
inary art could possibly produce.

The evening was pleasantly pass-
ed, everyone fully appreciating the
freedom and open handed hospital-
tiy of Mr. and Mrs. Hensley.

Mr. and Mrs. Meyer depart for
Iowa Falls, tonight, and after a
short stay will go to their future
home in North Dakota accompanied
by the best wishes of their many
friends who trust that through the
tide of years to come they may end
the journey of life reposing the
same confidence and love the now
enjoy.
