Audubon County Journal (IA)
Thursday, Jan. 28, 1897

And this is a pleasant and original
manner for the land owner and the
renter to settle their differences these
hard times: About a year ago Miss
Alice Fulton, of Atlantic, formerly an
Exira school teacher, invested her
savings in a good eighty acres of land,
she purchasing the Ed. Walker farm
in Hamlin township, this county. Miss
Fulton rented the farm to Mr. Frank
Cotton, an economical and hardwork-
ing young man of the vicinity of Gris-
wold. Mr. Cotton went to Atlantic,
Tuesday to settle the rent and it cul-
minated about pleasantly at the home
of Miss Fulton's parents, Rev. __oks in
the presence of a few invited relatives
performing the pretty service that
made Mr. Frank Cotton and Miss
Alice Fulton husband and wife until
parted by death. The happy couple
will be at home on the Hamlin town-
ship farm, February 1st. The Exira
friends of Mr. and Mrs. Cotton extend
their best congratulations.

Note: Parents of Frank O. Cotton were Delos D. Cotton and Susan Mason.
Parents of Alice Fulton were William Fulton and Mary Mason.
