ANDERSEN -- McCARTHY

---------

The marriage of Miss Mabel Ander-
sen and Harold McCarthy took place
last Thursday, June 24, at Omaha,
Rev. Fr. Stein officiating.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Jacob Andersen of Brayton, and
a sister to Mrs. John Rendleman, Jr.,
of this place. She was one of the
graduates from the local high school
in May.

The groom is the son of Mrs. P.
G. McCarthy and has been athletic
coach in the local school the past
three years.

The couple were given a fine re-
ception at the home of the bride's
parents Sunday, when a number en-
joyed a wedding dinner. Monday eve-
ning a crowd of young folks gave the
newlyweds a charivari which they will
remember for many years and in re-
turn were entertained to a dance at
the Juhl hall in Brayton Tuesday eve.

Mr. and Mrs. McCarthy are staying
at the Andersen home for the present,
but expect to leave soon for Nebraska
where he will be connected with the
Standard Oil Co. with headquarters
in Omaha.

The couple have hundreds of friends
who join with us in extending con-
gratulations and best wishes for a
long and happy wedded life.
