Carl Voss (1897-1972) had a narrow escape from
serious injury while making fence one
day recently. He was stretching barb
wire when a strand broke and flew
back, stiking Carl on the throat.
The sharp barbs cut several deep
gashes and some stitches were requir-
ed to suture the wounds. The injuries
could easily have been far more seri-
ous than they were and Carl considers
it lucky that they were no worse.
