ENGAGEMENT OF LOCAL
YOUNG PEOPLE ANNOUNCED----------
On Friday, May 7th, a lovely formal
dinner party was given at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Klever, announc-
ing the engagement and approaching
marriage of their daughter Carolyn,
to Mr. Le Roi Henry, son of Rev. and
Mrs. C. F. Henry, of Kansas City. The table was very beautifully laid
for nine people, the color scheme was
pink and white carried out in the nut
cups, place cards and a large bowl of
apple blossoms for the center of the
table. During the fourth course bal-
loons were discovered hidden in the
nut cups and when these were blown
up the names and date was seen in
tiny letters. June 10th is the date
set for the wedding ceremony.Bridge tables were ready after the
dinner and the deserving couple re-
ceived a prize at the end of some very
close games. Everyone reflected the
happiness of Miss Klever during the
evening.Those participating were: Mrs.
Emil Crow, of Des Moines, formerly
Ruby Wells; the Misses Jordan, Mc-
Manus, Butcher, Hughes and Flora
Rendleman, Mrs. Norman Hensley and
Mrs. Herb Watterson.
