Otto Baier (1892-1965) told us about a large
egg laid by a hen at his place about
three weeks ago. The egg measured
8 1/4 inches one way and 7 3/4 inches
the other, which is some measurement
for a hen egg. Otto promised that he
would bring us some of these large
eggs, but if he waits as long before
doing it as we have in mentioning this
bit of news, it would be just the same
to us if he keeps them--we have no
craving for rotten eggs.
