FARM HOME BURNED

---------

The farm home five miles north-
east of town (Exira) belonging to W. E. Pep-
pers, local insurance man, and oc-
cupied by Albert Hocamp, was burned
to the ground shortly before noon
Tuesday in a blaze originating from
a defective flu. Mr. Hocamp was at
home alone at the time and was doing
some chores in the yard when a pas-
sing neighbor called his attention to
the fact that his home was on fire.
Part of the furniture was gotten out.
The loss on both house and contents
is covered by insurance.
