Exira Man Observes 91st
Birthday Anniversary----------
William Fowler (1837-1928) observed his ninety-
first birthday anniversary on Thursday
of last week. Mr. Fowler is bedfast,
but his daughters, Mrs. L. A. Bruner
of Shelton, Nebraska, and Mrs. W. H.
Wadsworth of Henrietta, Oklahoma,
were here and prepared a large dinner
in honor of the occasion. Mr. and Mrs.
Elmer Fowler also spent the day here.
We are almost sure that Mr. Fowler is
the oldest inhabitant of Exira. He has
been ill for many months and gradual-
ly grows weaker with the passing days
but has shown a remarkable lot of
stamina during his long months of
sickness.
