I found the following information:

1850 Federal Census, Iowa, Davis County, Soap Creek Township

John Taylor 78 yrs. Farmer born South Carolina
Susan A. Taylor 53 yrs. born South Carolina
Desaisis Taylor 22 yrs. (male)born Illinois
Lucinda Taylor 17 yrs. born Illinois
Nathaniel F. Taylor 13 yrs. born Illinois

1860 Federal Census, Iowa, Davis County, Drakesville Township

Nathaniel F. Taylor 23 yrs. born Illinois
Harriett Taylor 23 yrs. born Indiana
Alexander Taylor 7/12 months born Iowa

There is a John Taylor buried in Atwood Cemetery in Davis County. He was born in 1772 and died on June 7, 1857.

There is a Susanah Taylor buried in Drakesville Cemetery in Davis County. She was born 1793 and died March 8, 1883.

There is a Dennis Taylor buried in Drakesville Cemetery in Davis County. He was born 1827 and died December 8, 1861.

Perhaps the name of the 22 year old son in the 1850 census was Dennis, instead of Desaisis.
