Death of Mrs. Salathiel Tisue

Hannah Malisa Mason was born at Richwood, Iowa, Aug. 29, 1854. Died very suddenly of paralitic stroke at Moravia, Iowa, June 4th, 1911, aged 56 years, 9 months and 5 days.

March 26, 1876 she united in marriage with Salathiel Tisue, since which time they have resided in Chariton township, Appanoose county, Iowa. One daughter was born to this union, now Mrs. Myrtle Foster, of near Iconium. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, three granddaughters, Amy, Gail and May Foster, four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Sullivan, of Chanute, Kan.; Mrs. Emma Williams, of Hedrick, Ia.; Mrs. Kate Alverson, of Batavia, Ia.; and Mrs. Jane Shaw, of Portland, Oregon, and one brother, Rev. O.H.L. Mason of Long Beach, Calif., and a great host of friends who mourn the departure of a kind and true companion, a loving mother, a good neighbor, a devoted christian. The church loses a faithful, loyal member. Her life may be judged by her deeds.

For thirty years she had been a faithful member of the U.B. church at Salem, 3 miles east of Iconium, where the funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 6, at 2:00 o'clock p.m., and her body laid to rest at that place. Services were conducted by Ref. L. Shaeffer, of Walnut City. Undertaker Turner, of Moravia, had charge of the funeral.
