Mrs. Trissa McFatridge the subject of this brief sketch was born in Eddyville, Iowa, Feb. 8th 1856 and died at the home of her brother-in-law near Iconium, Saturday Oct. 13th 1900. The deceaseds(sic) maiden name was Trim, she moved with her parents to Iconium, when in her childhood, at the age of 17 was united in matrimony with J.C. McFatridge, the union proved to be a happy on and unto them 10 children were born eight of which are now living, four girls and four boys: Grace, Anna, Emma and Ethel; William, Edward, Winford and Alfred. A few years ago the family moved on a farm near Dean, Iowa and the departed was making a visit with relatives and friends in and near Iconium when she was called by the death angel to her final home. The deceased became a member of the Christian church when fourteen years of age and had ever since lived a Christian life. Was a kind and loving wife and mother and a woman who was very highly esteemed by all her neighbors.

Funeral services were conducted the following day by Eld. D.O. Scott, of the Christian church, and a large number of friends and relatives followed the remains to their last resting place at the Salem Cemetery. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their loss of a loving wife and kind mother.
