Mrs. Osa Potts who has been ailing two years with consumption, died Thursday the 12th of April at her home east of this city. Osa was well known, and loved by all who knew her. Although everything in human power was done for her relief and cure, all failed and she was willing to meet Death more than halfway, on account of the intense suffering which she endured. During the last two weeks of her life she planned everything for her burial. Selecting her burial cloths and those to make them; also making arrangements regarding the minister, organist, etc. The funeral took place at Salem, also the internment. Funeral services conducted by L. Shaeffer. Osa Newby was born in 1872. Became a member of the U.B. church in 1890. Was united in marriage to Albert Potts in 1894. She leaves a husband, a little son, Forest, and many friends to sorrow for her loss. Also family ties of mother, father, brothers and sisters. All have the deepest sympathy of the community.

(buried at Salem United Brethren Cemetery - Moravia)
