The community was startled last night by the announcement of the death of Mrs. Isabel Pierson. She was spending the day with Mrs. L. MacHenry, and appeared in her usual health and buoyancy. About six o'clock, while sitting in a rocking chair conversing with Mrs. MacHenry, who was doing her housework, it was noticed that she had ceased conversing, and on approching her it was found that she had passed from earth to the spirit land. Mrs. Pierson was in her 81st year, and was esteemed for her many virtues. It is supposed that she died from congestion of the heart. She is the mother of J.A. Pierson, from whose residence the funeral will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
