July 30, 1954William Archie Highbarger son of Daniel and Mary Highbarger was born on a farm near Cincinnati, Iowa, August 11, 1886, and passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital July 20, 1954, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 10 days. He grew to manhood and attended school near Cincinnati and Centerville high school. He was united in marriage to Bertha Richmond March 1, 1908. To this union 5 children were born, Jack P. of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Dorothy Secrest of Cincinnati, Mrs. Marie Porter of Waverly, Iowa, Mr. Bill Highbarger Jr., of Midland, Texas, Mrs. Mary Charolette Richmond of Cincinnati, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Highbarger, and one sister, Mrs. Ada Swan.
He leaves to mourn his passing his companion Mrs. Bertha Highbarger, and 5 children, Jack P. Highbarger of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Dorothy Secrest of Cincinnati, Mrs. Marie Porter of Waverly, Ia., Bill Highbarger Jr., of Midland, Texas, and Mrs. Mary Charolette Richmond of Cincinnati, Iowa. He also leaves 5 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Inez Arneal of Santa Maria, California.
He was a farmer and spent his entire life on a farm near Cincinnati. He was a kind husband, father, grandfather and neighbor and was always willing to do for others. He will be sadly missed in the family circle as well as among his associates.
