Pete Ambruster Burial to be Friday 2:00 p.m.Funeral services for Pete Ambruster, long time resident and miner of this city, who was a charter member of the United Mine Workers here, will be had at 2:00 p.m. Friday, at the Nazariene church, Reverend Steely officiating. Burial at the Philadelphia cemetery.
Mr. Ambruster was 74years of age. November 5 of last year. Born in Ohio he had came here some 35 years ago and had entered the mines here as a charter member of the U.M.W of a A.
August 8, 1886, he united in marriage with Miss Edna Foster, of Brazil. To their union seven children were born, six of whom survive, as follows: Ella Stevens of Allerton, Iowa; Anna Stenburg, Rockford, Illinois: Sula Buck, Rockford, Illinois; Harry Ambruster, Centerville; Fay Mott, Tama, Iowa; May Norris, Villa Park, Illinois.
Besides the wife and children, one sister, Mrs. Kate Etterling of Portsmouth, Ohio, survives.
Seventeen years ago, Mr. Ambruster had suffered from mine damps and had been unable to work since that time. His death followed a long illness.
