Jessie Ellis and old resident of Appanoose county living in Vermillion township, south of town, died Saturday the 13th after a lingering sickness, aged 58. Mr. Ellis was a member of the Masonic order and was buried with all its honors Sunday, the funeral services being conducted from the Baptist church of this city, Elder Robbins preaching the funeral sermon.
