On last Thursday a telegram was received stating that Mrs. C. Lane, better known as Mrs. Walden Lane, had died the evening before at Cleveland, Ohio, where she had gone to visit friends. She had not been well for some time, and while at Cleveland had put herself under medical treatment, and was taken with congestive chills and died Wednesday evening. The remains were forwarded to this place, arriving at 2 a.m. The funeral took place from the residence of ex-Gov. Walden, Saturday, and was largely attended.
