Died at the residence of Wm. Miners in Walnut township, Monday, Oct. 14th, 1872, Elder A. Haines, aged sixty-five years.
Elder Abram Haines was a native of West Va., where he spent most of his life. He emigrated to this State in 1861. The last forty years of his life he was a faithful and devoted Baptist minister of the Gospel of Christ. A great portion of his ministerial labors were performed in his native State, as Missionary, where he was instrumental in doing much good. His children mourn his loss as a kind and Christian father; the community, as a good citizen; the church as a faithful, earnest minister of the Gospel. But we mourn not as those who have no home.
