Thursday, August 11, 1938Daniel King, son of Benjamin R. and Priscilla King, was born in Putnam County, Missouri, January 10, 1854 and departed this life in the hospital at Centerville, Iowa, August 7, 1938, been at the time of his death 83 years, 6 months and 27 days old.
He was united in marriage with Sarah Jane Jewell on November 20, 1883, who preceded him in death February 15, 1931. No children were born to this union.
He spent several years in Putnam county near Mendota and Howland, Missouri, working on the railroad. Then was transferred to Milton, Iowa, where he worked for twenty years, and made his home there until, the death of his wife. He then came to Cincinnati and vicinity where.he has since made his home with relatives. He was of a pleasant disposition and was always doing something for others and has many friends. who will mourn his passing. He is the last of a family of nine children, his brother, Eli, having preceded him in death just two months ago.
He leaves to mourn his departure several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
