Flossie Anderson

Flossie Fenton Anderson, 91, died Wednesday, August 23, 1995, in storm Lake.

She was born May 6, 1904, , in Plano, daughter of Charles and Alice Fenton.

She married Hubert Strandberg June 14, 1933. She later married Clarence Jack. She then married Ivan Anderson September 18, 1982. He survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Janan Anderson of Loveland, Colorado, and Linda Woods of Boulder ,Colorado; her sister, Vera James of Ottumwa; four grandchildren; and a great-grand daughter.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, Hubert Strandberg; her second husband, Clarence Jack, two brothers, Raymond and Merritt; and a daughter, Zanna Calman.

She graduated from Centerville high school in 1925 and earned a teaching certificate from Iowa State teachers college. She received a bachelor's degree from Drake university. She taught country school in Plano and elementary in Alamosa and Centerville for a total of 31 years. She was president of tea. T. T. mothers club and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a Worthy Matron and a Grand Representative of O E. S. She was a member of the Drake Ave., Christian Church and the Christian Women's Fellowship.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, August twenty sixth, at the Drake Ave., Christian Avenue Christian church in Centerville with the Rev. Carl Heien officiating.Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. A visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the Lange Funeral Home. Friends may call all day Friday.

Memorial donations may be made to the Drake Ave., Christian Church and may be left at the funeral home.
