Mrs. Wilbur McKeehan
Centerville – Mrs. Winnie Mincks McKeehan, 84, of 638 N Sixth St., died at the St. Joseph Hospital Friday at 8:30 p.m.
She was born in Appanoose county April 14, 1880, the daughter of Philip and Harriet Mincks. In 1919 she was married to Wilbur McKeehan, who preceded her in death
Mrs. McKeehan lived in Centerville all of her life except for a brief time when she resided in Des Moines. She was a long-time member of the Haynes Avenue Church of God.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Charlie Mincks and two sisters. Mrs. Anna Ash and Mrs. Allie Collins.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. Irene Hays of Centerville; three stepsons, Homer, Spencer and Wilbur McKeehan, all of Des Moines; a brother, Gilbert Mincks of Centerville: and four sisters. Miss Hattie Mincks and Mrs. Nervia Lewis, both of Centerville. Mrs. Ola Thomas of Ottumwa and Mrs. Etta McVey of Pomona. Calif. The body is at the Miller Wehrle Funeral Home where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Fox, pastor of the Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery north of Centerville
