Bereaved By Death,
The Death messenger entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Randle this morning and carried away one of their bright little children. It was Roy, the six year old son, who was taken and the summons came suddenly with little warning. The little fellow started to school last Monday, apparently full of vigorious life and in perfect health, but came home at noon complaining that
he was sick. His illness lasted in a mild form until Saturday when the attending physician declared that he was dangerously ill, the disease having developed slowly but surely into a dangerous throat and bronchial affliction of a diptherial nature. All day Saturday, Saturday night, Sunday and until 3:00 o'clock this morning, loving parents and friends watched at the little one's bedside, doing all they could to ease his sufferings and watch for some sign of a change in his condition for the better. But at 3:00 o'clock the Death messenger came and carried the little soul to the other side of Death's river where it awaits the coming of its friends and loved ones. The bereaved family have the deepest sympathy which can be expressed in such sad affliction. The funeral was conducted by Rev. E. C. Brooks and was held from the home at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon, interment being made in Oakland cemetery.
