MRS. ABIGAIL HIXENBAUGH

Died at the Age of Ninety-one In
Johns Township

The death of Mrs. Abigail Hixenbaugh occured Thursday, March 3, at the home of her son, J. F., 4 1-2 miles north of Plano. She was born Sep. 10, 1818, and was 91 years, five months old. Her native state was Pennsylvania, but she had lived in Iowa since 1855 and three children were born to her and A. Hixenbaugh, J. F., Johns township, Perry, Centerville, and Sarah Jane Porter, deceased.
She was of the self reliant, hardy pioneer type, a good neighbor wife, and mother. She was a member of the United Brethren church.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. Schaffer.
