On last Saturday about eleven o'clock uncle John Henderson living two miles south of this place
dropped dead, he had not been well for sometime, but was able to be about and was sitting on the side of the bed fanning his sick wife when
he took a pain in his head and dropped over dead.

—Last Saturday morning occurred the death of John Henderson, aged 62 years, at his home near Udell. The funeral was held Sunday, the services
being held at the Mt. Ayr chapel. The deceased has been a resident of Appanoose county for many years, and his death will be learned of with much grief by his friends in this city. He leaves a wife and family.
