WILLIS HOBART DEAD.
Willis Hobart, a well known resident of Exline, died at his home Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Hobart had been critically ill since last Saturday when he had a paralytic stroke. Mr. Hobart had many friends who will be sorry to hear of his death.

Jim Hobart and wife of Centerville were called here Sunday by the serious illness of his father, W. H. Hobart.

OBITUARY
Henry Willis Hobart was born in Noble county, Ohio, March 5, 1843, and died in Exline, Iowa, Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1921, aged 78 years, 6 months and 8 days. He came with his parents to Iowa when 13 years of age.
He enlisted during the civil war in Co. D 6th Iowa regiment; was discharged for disability Jan 6, 1862, and re-enlisted in Co. F 18th Iowa, July 7, 1862, and served to the end of the war, being discharged July 20, 1865. On November 16 of the same year he was married to Mary J. McCloud. To this union were born six children: Elnora, Asa, Jasper, Mary, Harley and Josie. The wife and three children preceded him in death. On July 6, 1891, he was again married to Naney J. Cline, who with his three children. Asa, Harley and Josie, survive him.
Mr. Hobart was a staunch member of the Christian church and also a charter member of the I. O. O. F. lodge of Moravia.
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church in Exline, and interment was made in the cemetery at that place. The I. O. O. F. lodge members attended in a body and took charge of the services and grave.
Many friends, neighbors and relatives gathered to pay a last tribute to one who had been among them for so many years.
