Taken By Death
Ray McFall, of 803 E. Maple Street, died Thursday morning at 1:00 o'clock, following an illness of several months. He was 66 years, one month and 19 days of age.
Alfred Raymond McFall was born on a farm in Appanoose County June 26, 1891, the son of Francis Marion and Valera Cupp McFall.
He was a retired employee of the Iowa Southern Utilities Co. and was a veteran of World
War I. He was a member of the American Legion, In death he is survived by his wife, Selena Daughtrey McFall; son, Francis Keith McFall, at home; daughter, Mrs. Norma Berg, of Beloit, Wis.; two grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Francis
McFall, of Centerville, one brother, Trenton McFall of Centerville RFD, four sisters, Mrs. William J. Stice of Long Beach, Calif.,Mrs. Bernard French, of Ottumwa, Mrs. Adrian Davis of Seymour RFD, Mrs. Leo Salladay of Udell RFD; and he was preceded in death by his father and first wife, Mable C. Steffey McFall.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from the the Johnson Funeral Home, Rev. Bruce Matthews officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Ararat cemetery
