Jake Cole, 71, was called by death at his home three and a half miles north of Plano Sunday night following a seige of pneumonia. He had been failing in health for some time. His condition became critical a week ago.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Cole, who preceded him in death many years ago. One sister also preceded him in death.
He was unmarried and lived with his sister Sarah Cole. He was a lifelong resident of Appanoose county and is well known around Plano. He was a farmer. Funeral services have not yet been announced.
