Together Almost Sixty-Six Years
At the Time of His Death
One Year AgoThe death of Mrs. Lavisa Condra occurred Monday, March 27, at the home of her son, I. M. Condra, a mile east of Seymour. Her life had been
remarkable in some respects, among them that until 2 years ago she and her husband had lived in Franklin township, this county, since 1850, and when he died March 14, 1904, they had lived together 66 years lacking the time till
June 2 that year. Mrs. Conger {Condra} would have been 84 years old April 11 this year. The surviving children are Isaac, at whose home she died, Frank in Arkansas, Alonzo in Oklahoma, Mrs. Rebecca Odell Oklahoma, Mrs. John Keller, Missouri, and Mrs. Lydia Trimble, Oklahoma. The oldest son, William T. and the youngest daughter, Mrs. Ella Harper, are buried at Livingston.
Mrs. Condra had held membership in the Christian church and later the Methodist, being a woman devoted to her religious belief and a mother of
strong influence for good in the home.
Her funeral was preached by Rev. Jones, the Christian minister from Seymour, the services being held at the Livingston M. E. church Tuesday, March 28.
