Kate Vaught Is
Called Today
Mrs. Kate Vaught, 424 North Jefferson Street, Ottumwa, Iowa died at her home at 6:50 a.m. today. Mrs. Vaught was a former resident of Udell and was a member of the Baptist church at Udell. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis Vaught, who died November 8, 1947. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lucy McFall and Mrs. Mary Garman, and by three daughters, Mrs. Velma Shiltz, Mrs. Ruby Reints, and Miss Olive Vaught, all of Ottumwa. There is one granddaughter who survives and is Mrs. Francis Weineneth, of Ottumwa; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ida Mace, of Moulton, and Mrs. Fanny Taylor of Minnesota. One half-brother also survives and is Bert Nelson, of Ottumwa.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Vaughn Funeral Home in Ottumwa. The Rev. A. D. Pringle, of the Baptist Temple, of Ottumwa, will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery, east of Centerville at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
