Lloyd Edgar Bever, 63, lifetime resident of Centerville, died at St. Joseph's hospital May 15, 1949 at 8:30 a. m. He was born August 21, 1885, in Centerville and was well known. He had been in failing health for some time. Mr. Bever was the son of pioneer Centerville residents George and Hannah Bever. Both precede him in death. Growing to young manhood here he united in marriage with Nettie Crandall September 14, 1907. In death he leaves his widow, one son Robert C., of Kirkville, Iowa, a baggageman on the Burlington railroad, two granddaughters, Barbara Ann and Gail Lee Bever, four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Freeburg, of Centerville, Mrs. George Jones, of Des Moines. Mrs. Goldie Perrin, of Centerville and Mrs. Bess Seeley, of Dubuque, also two brothers, George Bever Jr., of Centerville and F. M. Bever, of Dubuque. He was a member of the Christian Church and the Plasterer's union.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. from the Johnson Funeral Home with the
Rev. L. C. Bartholomew officiating and burial will be in the Oakland cemetery.
