Indiana Morris obituary.
Mrs. John B. Morris.Indiana White was born at Brookville, Franklin County., Indiana. August 2,1838. She became a member of the in the M. E. church when 11 years of age. She removed with her parents to a farm near West Grove Iowa when she was 20 years old. On December 15th 1859 she was married to John B. Morris and into this union were born 11 children, eight of whom survive. Two of her
children died in infancy. On May 19th 1897 , one son Fernando E., was killed by lightning at Edgemont SD, and on January 3rd 1900 her husband was taken from her by accidental death, being killed by a Rock Island engine at their home in Udell. Since that time she, with her daughter, Miss. Ollie Morris has resided at Udell where she died at 2 AM December 6, age 77 years
4 months and four days. Her surviving children are ;M. L. Morris, Kansas City, Missouri, J. S. Morris, Foster Nebraska, A. W. Morris, Unadilla Nebraska, Mrs. F. G. Moore, Bloomfield Iowa,
Mrs. Charles Binford, Ochiltree TX, Elmer Morris, Moulton Iowa, Charles Morris, Hocking Iowa, and Miss. Ollie Morris Udell.Besides these she leaves four brothers: J. M. White, of West Grove, C.C. White, of Moulton,
A.R. White, Ontario Ore., H E White, Weiser, Idaho. She leaves also many grandchildren and a very large circle of friends. For 66 years she has lived a devoted Christian life, dying in triumphant faith going to meet her Savior by whose side she had held sweet converse for so
many years.A former pastor J. W. Carson of Fairfield, conducted the funeral services at the Brethren church of Udell. He was assisted by Rev. Deeter of Udell. The remains were laid to arrest by the side of her husband in the Fairfield
Cemetery.
