Miss Bertha Hiatt and Mr. Walter Proctor of Unionville, Iowa, were united in marriage at the Methodist Episcopal parsonage in Moravia,
Wednesday evening, May 20th, at 8 o'clock, the Rev. B. G. Hankins reading the ring service. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Verne Irelan of
Drakesville. Miss Minnie Hicks and J. J. Hicks of Moravia, an aunt and uncle of the bride were also guests. The bride wore pastel blue chiffon
and carried a valley shower bouquet. The groom wore the conventional navy blue. Mrs. Proctor is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Hiatt who live
on their farm west of Unionville. She is a lady of fine character and numbers her friends by her acquaintances. She has been a very successful
school teacher, specializing in primary work, and taught in both the Udell and Unionville schools in that grade for a period of years. Mr. Proctor is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Proctor and was raised on a farm north of Unionville but moved to town with his parents when they retired
several years ago. He had a home prepared for his bride on the farm known as the Brain place, one mile south of Unionville, where they expect
to be at home after June 1st. Mr. Proctor is a man of sterling worth and a highly respected citizen of the Unionville community.
Mr. and Mrs. Proctor have many friends here who join the Unionville friends and relatives in extending best wishes and congratulations.
