Baker-Sneed Nuptials
At Searsboro, Monday

The marriage of Miss Adelaide Baker to Reverend J. Richard Sneed was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Baker at Searboro, Iowa, Monday evening, June 6th, at 7:30 o'clock. Dr. B. F. Schwartz of the First Methodist church at Muscatine performed
the ceremony in the presence of the immediate families and intimate friends from several parts of the state. The brief musical immediately preceding the wedding consisted of piano
selections by Mrs. B. F. Schwartz of Muscatine, and Mrs. Clarence Richards, sister of the bride, of Springfield, Mass.; and a vocal solo by Mrs.
J. F. Albert of Moravia. The wedding march was played by Miss Elizabeth Sneed, sister of the groom, of Moravia. The bride is a graduate of the Searsboro high school and of the music
department of Grinnell College. Since completing her college work she has been music director of the Searsboro high school and has taken an active interest in community affairs as well.
The bridegroom, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Sneed of Moravia, is a graduate of the Moravia high school and of Grinnell College, receiving his B. A. degree from the latter school on his wedding day. During his last two years at Grinnell he has served as Methodist student minister and has been pastor of the churches on the Searsboro charge. The bridal couple departed Monday evening for the nation's capitol, Washington, D. C., where they have accepted an invitation to be the weekend
guests of Congressman Lloyd Thurston. Early next week Mr. and Mrs. Sneed will motor to Bryantville, Mass., where Rev. Sneed will become
pastor of the Bryantville Methodist church and study Theology at both Harvard and Boston universities where he holds scholarships.
The bride will do graduate work in music at Boston university, where she has accepted a scholarship for the coming year.
Immediately after the marriage ceremony dainty refreshments were served. Those attending from Moravia were Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Sneed, Miss Elizabeth Sneed, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Albert, and Mrs. Dr. G. D. Lynch.
