Double Wedding Solemnized
Labor Day

A double wedding of interest to this community took place Monday afternoon, September 1, at two o'clock, when Miss Mablene Lindsey, daughter of Mrs. Mabel Lindsey of Dean became the bride of Chester Henderson, son of Mrs. Mote Gordy east of Dean, and Miss Elaine Blue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Blue of Coatsville, was united in marriage to Tommy Stevens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stevens of Coatsville.
The ceremony was performed at the home of Rev. Dick Evans in Centerville, who was the officiating minister. Attendants at the wedding
were Mrs. Lindsey and Mrs. Henry Stevens and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Horn.
Following the ceremony a wedding supper was served at the home of Mrs. Mabel Lindsey to relatives and close friends of the couple.
Mrs. Henderson was a graduate from the Moulton High School with the class of 1945, and since that time has been employed in Centerville.
Mrs. Stevens has also been working in Centerville. The bridegrooms have recently received their honorable discharge from the army.
Mrs. Henderson and Mr. Tommy Stevens are cousins.
The many friends of these young people extend congratulations for a happy and prosperous married life.
