Another Veteran
Wounded In Action

Mrs. Carl Davis, of Ottumwa, received official notification from the War Department, Saturday, which stated that her husband, Pfc. Carl
Davis, serving with the 90th Infantry in the Third U. S. Army had been seriously wounded in action on January 20, 1945, in the Luxemburg area.
The brief message gave no particulars but stated that more information would follow in a letter. Carl was inducted into the Army May 12, 1944, and took his training at Camp Robinson, Ark., and Camp Gruber, Okla. Last November he
landed in southern France and had until being wounded served with an infantry company in the 90th division. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. O.
Davis, of near Moulton, and has a brother, Sgt. Lawrence L. Davis serving with the American First Army on the western front. Lawrence
has been overseas since Jan. 15, 1944.
