Golden Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. John Swarts, prominent farm residents of this community celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their farm home southwest of Moulton, Sunday. They were married 50 years ago last Wednesday. The celebration Sunday was informal with only near relatives and
a few friends present to enjoy the day. All the children were present with the exception of LeRoy, who is in the U. S. Navy, as where the
grandchildren with the exception of S. Sgt. J. H. Mikels and Pfc. Harold Mikels, both of whom are in the service.
The children present were Mrs. Sigel Mikels, Mrs. Ralph Mikels, Bernard Swarts, Hermas Swarts, Mrs. Ned Purdum, of Unionville, and
Mrs. Ferris Adams, of Bloomfield Mr. and Mrs. Mikels have good health and are enjoying life at their spacious farm home. Mr. Mikels is 76 years old and has the distinction of residing on the farm where he was born. Mrs. Mikels is 75.
