Wood-Gasling
Vows Exchanged

The wedding of Ferne Wood of Moulton and Stanley Gasling of Fairfield, took place. Saturday, April 7, 1973 at 2:00 p.m. in the Moulton United Methodist Church. Rev. Larry Larsen, pastor, of the church performed the sinable ring ceremony in the presence of the immediate family and close friends. Lighted candles and an open Bible appointed the altar.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Clarence Wood of Moulton and the late Clarence Wood. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gasling of Fairfield.
The bride was attired in a short, pale blue dress, fashioned with a round neckline and long sleeves. She wore a matching blue veil and
carried an arrangement of yellow mums on a white Bible. The couple was attended by his sister and husband, Arthur and Pat Jacobs of Ottumwa.
Following the wedding a reception was held at the Arthur Jay home, south of Moulton. Mrs. Roland Yates baked and decorated the two tiered, posted white cake which was decorated in blue and
topped with a miniature bride and groom. The cake was served by Mrs. Arthur Jay. Mrs. Lucille Whisler dipped punch and Mrs. Fleta Seibert poured coffee from a reception table covered in blue and set with candles.
Mr. and Mrs. Gasling will make their home in Fairfield where he is employed by Dexter Co., makers of washing machines and dryers.
