March 25, 1921A FIRE IN MOULTON
SOME 50 YEARS AGO {1871}Looking backward 50 years, Geo. T. Pulliam told us Tuesday that just half a century before, Baxter Wooldridge was running a store in a 2-story wooden building where now stands the old Bridal brick. George was a clerk for bis brotherinlaw, ard had been sent to Unionvllle to see a sick relative. On the way back, a neighbor informed young George that the building
and contents of Wooldridge's store bad been destroyed by fire, and was a total loss. A man named Irwin built the present brick a few years later. The firm of Wooldridge & Pulliam soon came into business circles, being established
in a 2-story frame where the Savings Bank now stands—and run on for 30 years
