Open house planned

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jones of Moulton will observe their 60th wedding anniversary, Sunday, July 17, 1977, with an Open House at their home at 211 West 2nd St., Moulton.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Jones and family of Winnetka, ILL., and Mr. and Mrs. Clair Jones and family of Genoa, Neb., will host the happy occasion.
Opal Severs and Glen Jones were married July 17,1917 in Bloomfield, Ia., by Rev. H.B. Scoles. They started their married life on a farm ithe West Grove area, later moving to a farm northeast of Moulton in 1921. In 1928 they moved to Milton, Ia., where they remained for twenty years. In the fall of 1950 they moved to their own farm, east of Moulton. They spent 10 years there before retiring to their home in Moulton.
They are the parents of three children: La Vern, who passed away in 1971; Mrs. John A. (Ruth) Jones, Jr., of Arlington, Va.; and Herbert, now of Wlnnetka, ILL. They are proud grandparents to Clark, Clair, Catherine Smith, Randall, Mark and Christopher, Children of La Vern and his wife, Myrtle; Gregory and Melissia, their daughter,
Ruth's children; and Kimberly, Cynthia, and Kevin, Children of Herbert and his wife, Colleen. They have also welcomed five great-grandchildren: Angelia, Nicole, children of Clark and Sandra Jones; Glen and Clinton, children of Clair and Sharon Jones; and Linda, daughter of Catherine Smith.
Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to call between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m., Sunday, July 17th. The couple requests no gifts, please.
