The Centerville Citizen - Saturday, March 2, 1872

Since 1864 eight persons have declared their intention of becoming citizens of the United States, in the District Court of Appanoose county. Four of the number filed their declaration in 1871.

From the records we learn that naturalization papers have been issued to the following persons:

Wm. Bryan, of England, Oct. 2d, 1866;

Thomas Foster, of England, Oct. 6th, 1868;

John W. Rastede, of Hanover, Oct. 10th, 1870;

John V. Herman, of Baravia, Oct. 12th, 1870;

and Wm. H. Brown, of Ireland, Aug. 8th, 1871.
