Lawrence "Larry" E. Henning, 84, formerly of Pimlico Road, died April 15, 2002.
Born in Waukon, Iowa, he was a son of the late Theodore and Emma Grotegut Henning.
Mr. Henning retired after 44 years of service with PYA/Monarch. He was a member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, the Morgan Wesley Sunday School Class and the Men's Group of the Church. He was also active in the Perry Correctional Prison Ministry.
Surviving are his wife, Helen M. Henning; one daughter, Karine Ann Luetgert, of Geneva, Ill.; one son, Lynn Harold Henning, of Piedmont; three sisters, Betty Henning Opfer of Waukon, Iowa, Gertrude Henning-Hagen of Waterville, Iowa, and Lorraine Henning Koenig of Postville, Iowa; two brothers, Calvin Henning of Waukon, Iowa, and Robert "Bob" Henning of Ossian, Iowa; and two grandchildren, Brooke Luetgert and Derek Luetgert.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Alice M. Henning; and two brothers, Ruben and Irvin Henning.
Services will be Saturday at 3:15 p.m. at Remembrance Chapel, Woodlawn Memorial Park. Entombment will follow at Garden of Love Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
