MORITZ L. GRUBER

LANSING, Ia. (Special) - Moritz L. Gruber, 78, lifelong resident of Allamakee County, died Saturday at a Dubuque hospital. He suffered a hip fracture two weeks ago.

A son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gruber, he was born near Lansing Dec. 7, 1875, and married to Ella Henry May 5, 1903. She died in June, 1952.

Survivors are two sons, Harris and Earl Gruber of Waukon; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Bakewell of New Albin and Mrs. Truman Aldrich of Milwaukee. A son, Everett, died in 1952 at Waco, Texas. There are 13 grandchildren and a brother, Gustave Gruber, Waukon.

Funeral services were tentatively scheduled Monday afternoon at the German Presbyterian Church at Lansing with burial in Oakhill Cemetery.
