Harriet Fish

Harriet V. Fish, age 80, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., passed away Saturday, July 30, 2005, at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital.

Harriet was born March 16, 1925, in Harpers Ferry, Iowa, daughter of George and Lydia (Wachter) Jones. She was previously married to Roland Dundee September 15, 1942. She later married Leo Fish October 28, 1947, in Rockford, Ill. He preceded her in death April 7, 1987.

Harriet was a charter member of the United Methodist Church in Prairie du Chien where she served the congregation in many ways for many years.

She is survived by three daughters, Beverly (Chuck) Shedivy and Vicki (Don) Hand, both of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and Sharon (Mike Colburn) of Milwaukee, Wis.; a son, Dennis (Linda) Dundee of Elma, Iowa; a sister, Helen Sawvell of Rockford, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren;

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harry and Herman Jones; a sister, Hazel Boland Hansen; and a grandson, Lance Shedivy.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 3, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Prairie du Chien with Rev. Lynn Schreck officiating. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery, Rossville, Iowa. Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien is in charge of arrangements.
