DUNDEE, BRAY, LEWIS, PECK, HAGEMAN, PETERSON, FLACK, BERTLESON, EWING

Funeral services for Decorah resident Raymond W. Bray, 62, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1 at First Lutheran Church in Decorah. Burial will be in the Frankville cemetery and arrangements being handled by Steine’s Funeral Home.

Bray died Sept. 28 in the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital. He was born January 11, 1914 in Allamakee county. His parents were John L. Bray and Ruth Angeline Dundee Bray.

He attended rural schools and served in World War II. He married Helen Lewis Peck April 3, 1959 in Nashua, Iowa. His stepchildren are Roger Peck, Robert Peck, and Mrs. Shirley (Delbert) Hageman, all of Decorah.

He lived in Castalia for three years before moving to Decorah, where he attended the First Lutheran Church. He belonged to the I.O.O.F.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; a brother, Lawrence Bray of Monona; and sisters: Mrs. Ervin (Dorothy) Peterson of Decorah, Mrs. Harold (Mary) Flack of Postville, Mrs. Albert (Myrtle) Bertleson of Postville and Mrs. Ruby Ewing of Waukon. He is also survived by six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and the three sisters.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Hanson, Erlin Arneson, Paul Nichols, Earl Stendel, Robert Burns, Frank Teslow.
