Cora B. Darling, 82, who was a teacher here for 51 years, passed away at her home in Waterloo Friday morning. Funeral services were conducted in a chapel in Waterloo and the remains were brought here Tuesday afternoon for burial in Postville cemetery where brief services were held.

Postville, Ia. - Funeral services for Miss Cora B. Darling, 82, retired teacher, who taught in the Postville Public schools for 49 years, were held Tuesday afternoon at Waterloo, Ia., with burial in the Postville cemetery.
She was born in Stony Creek, N.Y., Dec. 23, 1861, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Darling. When she was three, her parents came to Iowa and settled at Hardin, east of Postville. Later they moved to Postville and the family lived here until 1926.
Miss Darling began her teaching career when 16, first in a private school, and then in Postville's Public school. She retired in 1928, after teaching three generations.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Bess Rickert, Waterloo, and four nieces and one nephew. Her only brother, Will Darling, died a year ago.
