CALVIN DRAVIS - died 1949
Dravis Rites Held In Waterloo
The death of Calvin Dravis, 38, a former resident of Postville, occurred Wednesday night at the general hospital in Minneapolis, where he had been a patient since Sunday morning when his unconscious body was found under a window outside the Andrews hotel. The cause of the accident is unknown and he never full regained consciousness.
He sustained a back injury, fractured ribs and broken pelvis bone.
He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Dravis of Waukon where he was born and reared. He is married and has a 15-year-old daughter, Dorothy Mae, at the family home in Waterloo. Calvin had been employed as a traveling salesman out of that city for several years. Also surviving are his parents and a sister, Mrs. Roy Hefts of LaCrosse. Mr. Dravis was formerly a proprietor of a grocery store in Postville.
The body was taken to Waterloo for burial.
