Mrs. W. H. (Emeline Jemison) DUNNING

Emeline Jemison was born in Green County, Pennsylvania, October 20, 1844 and died at Enid, Oklahoma, June 7, 1920, aged 75 years, 7 months and 18 days. In 1850 she moved with her parents to Hardin, Iowa.

On November 29, 1862 she was married to Mr. W. H. Dunning who departed this life Feb. 27, 1913 at Guymon, Oklahoma. To this union four children were born, three sons and one daughter and all were present at the funeral: D. V. Dunning of Monona, Iowa, H. E. Dunning of Enid, Oklahoma; H. H. Dunning of Alva, Oklahoma and Mrs. Emma Black of North Enid, Oklahoma.

In 1901 she and her family moved to Oklahoma, where they have resided to the present time. As a girl she was a member of the U. B. church in Hardin and in later years she was transferred to the Christian church at Guymon, Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dunning celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at Guymon, Oklahoma in the fall of 1912.

The remains arrived from Oklahoma last Friday accompanied by H. E. Dunning, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dunning and Mrs. Emma Black and taken to the residence of her sister, Mrs. J. M. Harris, of this city, from whose home the funeral was held Saturday afternoon, Rev. H. Williams of the M. E. church officiating. Interment at the Hardin cemetery.
