Mrs. GEORGE B. (Mary Frances Lane) FISHER 1896-1947
Funeral services for Mrs. George B. Fisher, 50, were held at the United church, Maple Creek, Sask., Canada, Tuesday afternoon, June 17, 1947 at 4 o'clock with Rev. Swanson officiating. Mrs. Fisher died Sunday, June 15, 1947 at Maple Creek General hospital following an illness of one and a half years.
As Mary Frances Lane, she was born the daughter of Mrs. Edwinna E. Parrish, at Rossville, Oct. 14, 1896. As a young girl, she attended school in Monona and later went to Saskatchewan, Canada, with her parents in 1911, settling on a farm near Waldville.
She was married in the summer of 1916 to George B. Fisher. For the last six years they have lived in Maple Creek.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joyce Gauthier of Vancouver, B. C.; her mother, Mrs. Edwinna Parrish of Maple Creek, Sask.; a sister, Mrs. Harry Nelson of Shaunavon, Sask.; two brothers, Rayburn Lane of Aberdeen, S. D., and William L. Parrish of North Hollywood, Calif.; and two grandsons, Ronald and Roger Gauthier.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, father, and brother.
