Mrs. ELWIN E. (Edna P. Hampton) LADWIG 1891-1958

Edna Pauline Hampton, daughter of Clarence and Mary Hampton, was born September 11, 1891 in Grant County, Wisconsin. On October 25, 1921, she was married to Elwin Emil Ladwig of Sumner. They were married at Lancaster, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Ladwig passed away at the Community Hospital at Postville, on Sunday, March 2, 1958, following an illness of two days.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Mrs. Harry Birch. Mrs. Ladwig is survived by her husband, one daughter Mrs. Jack Whitehead (Audrey) of Postville, two grandchildren, six sisters: Mrs. William Vogt and Mrs. Leo Niesis, both of Cassville, Wisconsin; Mrs. Frances Vogt and Mrs. Leroy Esser, both of Glen Haven, Wisconsin; Mrs. Paul Stimson of Phoenix, Arizona; and Mrs. Frank Kasterkevicv of Joliet, Illinois; three brothers, Charles Hampton of Bloomington, Wisconsin; Ted and Albert Hampton, both of Glen Haven, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Ladwig lived in Postville the last two years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services were held at the Milnes Funeral Home in Sumner on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Walter T. Martin of Postville in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Zion cemetery of Sumner.
